This is a documentary of cosmologist Stephen Hawking who has worked on the physics of black holes. He has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis so bad that he has to use a voice synthesizer to communicate.
Hawking explains the nature of the universe.
I told my mother-in-law the following estimates (at which she was scandalized and very rejecting):
Age of the Universe -- 15 billion years
earth -- 4.5 billion years
life -- 1.5 billion years
higher life forms -- 0.5 billion years
human-like creatures -- 4 million years
modern humans -- 100,000 years
It makes you think, eh?
